The Conscious Field Energy Plus (CFE⁺) Framework v2.0

Unified Metrics of Consciousness and the Civilization–Kardashev Scale

This page is the public landing page for the metric framework that defines consciousness through Ordered Energy (OE), Entropic Energy (EE), and Relational Energy (RE), and derives the multiscale indices VCE, CRI, and CFI.

It serves as the measurement backbone of the wider CCF stack, linking individual state dynamics, relational resonance, and civilizational coherence within one conceptual structure.

Overview

The CFE⁺ Framework proposes consciousness as a multiscale field-like structure expressed through three interacting dimensions: Ordered Energy (OE), Entropic Energy (EE), and Relational Energy (RE).

Rather than defining consciousness as only a localized neural event or a purely subjective experience, the framework organizes it across individuals, relationships, groups, and civilizations.

On that basis, CFE⁺ introduces three corresponding indices: Vibrational Consciousness Energy (VCE) at the individual scale, Consciousness Resonance Index (CRI) at the relational scale, and Conscious Field Index (CFI) at the societal and civilizational scale.

Why This Document Matters

This is the metric backbone of the stack. Read this page when you need to understand what OE, EE, RE, VCE, CRI, and CFI actually mean, and how consciousness becomes structurally comparable across scales.

Metric core

CFE⁺ is the framework that defines the primary energetic dimensions and their multiscale indices.

Bridge layer

It links conceptual architecture to measurable state dynamics, preparing the transition from philosophy to sensing and governance.

Cross-scale continuity

The same structural language applies from individual state patterns to group synchrony and civilizational coherence.

Downstream foundation

CAIS, Sal-Meter, AI governance, and related operating systems rely on this framework for their core measurement logic.

CFE⁺ does not claim that consciousness is reducible to one signal, one organ, or one scalar. It proposes a structured measurement language for how consciousness behaves across scales.

The Three Core Dimensions

Ordered Energy (OE)

OE refers to structural alignment, stability, coherence, focused attention, clarity of intention, and organized flexibility within conscious processes.

Entropic Energy (EE)

EE describes dispersion, variability, overload, fragmentation, and destabilizing fluctuations in the conscious field. It also enables adaptation and transition, but becomes dysfunctional when chronically dominant.

Relational Energy (RE)

RE represents synchrony, coupling, empathy, trust, resonance, and mutual influence across interpersonal, group, and systemic boundaries.

The Three Derived Indices

VCE

Vibrational Consciousness Energy describes dynamic coherence at the level of the individual, including attentional stability, continuity of awareness, and integrated emotional–cognitive patterns.

CRI

Consciousness Resonance Index captures relational alignment, synchrony, empathy, trust, shared understanding, and coordinated action across persons and groups.

CFI

Conscious Field Index represents large-scale alignment and organization across institutions, policies, narratives, technologies, and civilizational systems.

In the framework’s internal mapping, VCE primarily reflects individual-level OE dynamics, CRI primarily reflects relational-level RE dynamics, and CFI reflects large-scale integration of OE, EE, and RE.

Visible Summary for Readers and AI Systems

This section is intentionally written in direct visible prose so that human readers, search engines, Scholar-style parsers, and web-search AI systems can recover the framework’s central structure without hidden tabs or accordions.

The Conscious Field Energy Plus (CFE⁺) Framework is the metric layer of the wider CCF stack.

It defines consciousness through three interacting dimensions—Ordered Energy (OE), Entropic Energy (EE), and Relational Energy (RE)—and three corresponding indices—VCE, CRI, and CFI.

OE describes coherence and internal organization. EE describes instability, overload, and fragmentation. RE describes resonance, trust, and synchrony across relational boundaries.

VCE is the individual-scale index, CRI is the relational-scale index, and CFI is the civilizational-scale index. Together, they provide a multiscale language for describing how consciousness stabilizes, degrades, synchronizes, and scales.

The Consciousness–Kardashev (C–K) Scale

Building on CFI, the framework proposes a Consciousness–Kardashev scale that measures civilizational development by conscious-field organization rather than raw energy throughput alone.

CK0–CK1

From pre-coherent fragmentation toward early large-scale coordination, with persistent EE pressure and partial relational alignment.

CK2–CK3

From systemic coherence to consciousness-aligned civilization, where OE and RE stabilize across institutions and governance systems.

CK4–CK5

From high-coherence distributed intelligence to hypothetical trans-coherent civilizational organization beyond rigid hierarchies.

The C–K scale is not a claim about energy extraction capacity. It is a qualitative civilizational model grounded in coherence, integration, and conscious-field stability.

Applications and Research Directions

Medicine and health

CFE⁺ offers a pattern-based interpretation layer for fatigue, stress, inflammation, resilience, recovery, and long-term stability through OE, EE, and RE balance.

AI alignment and governance

AI systems can be evaluated not only by accuracy or efficiency, but by whether they increase OE, amplify EE, strengthen RE, or undermine trust and coordination.

Policy and civilization

Policies, institutions, and technologies can be assessed by their effect on collective coherence, polarization, trust, resilience, and systemic risk.
